About the Workshop
This workshop redefines common (misinformed) notions of confidence and offers a workable path toward the real deal.
CONFIDENCE HAS WHAT WE CALL ‘NEAR AND FAR ENEMIES’ THAT MASQUERADE AS GENUINE CONFIDENCE.
Despite popular opinion, confidence is not bravado, swagger, chutzpah, stoicism, extroversion or loudness, acting tough, self-esteem, or self-aggrandizement—and it is definitely not arrogance, hubris, one-upmanship, or aggression.
Confidence is more of a verb than a noun, and it can be viewed as a dedicated practice for returning to clarity, composure, and personal power, one that supports you in stepping skillfully and responsively into whatever you need to do.
The kind of confidence we invite you to explore and scaffold in this workshop is independent of wealth, status, beauty, power or success. It is even independent of the outcome of your efforts, whether you “succeed” or “fail.” When your sense of self-regard does not depend on what you have, what you have accomplished, or how you are seen by the world, you can rest assured you have tapped into the real deal. Ironically, we increase our odds of satisfying and meaningful accomplishment when we take up this understanding—and have a practice to support it.
Whether you aspire to…
change jobs
speak publicly
start a business
effectively lead a team
facilitate groups
activate systemic change
balance parenting with personal fulfillment
face lions or inner ghosts
…developing a quiet, inner confidence—one fueled by self-knowledge, self-compassion, and respect for fears that trip you up—will serve you in any circumstance.
This workshop will help you make brave decisions when you don’t have all the data, show up authentically when you can’t predict the result, and respond more agilely in uncertain conditions. You’ll begin to trust that you can take care of yourself no matter what happens.
This kind of confidence is a strange attractor. Come and practice in a supportive group.
Take Meaningful Action Toward a Dream, Goal, or Longing
WORKSHOP OUTCOMES
This is an experience in applied learning during which you’ll be guided to identify, explore, and directly impact a life goal, longing, aspiration, or project in order to enhance your degree of confidence in relationship to it. We’ll explore our (re)definition of confidence and lean into a felt sense through multi-sensory facilitated games alongside embodied practices. These techniques will support you in taking meaningful action to unlock purpose and potential, even if the ground is slippery, or you feel vulnerable and shaky.
The goal of the workshop is to create conditions for you to do one or all of the following:
better understand the unexamined assumptions, limiting beliefs, or unexplored stories that are in the way of you making a decision or taking useful action
soften resistance to those obstacles
dissolve one or more barriers to creativity or action related to your goal or dream
You will leave this workshop with:
a clear understanding of what real confidence is
an ability to visually map elements of your inner landscape connected to something meaningful
a practical technique for summoning inner confidence when facing something challenging
a felt sense that you can work with self-doubt, self-criticism, or other patterns that erode confidence
an elevated capacity to respond flexibly, recover quickly, and return to centeredness when it matters
a heightened capacity to resolve inner conflicts that complicate your decision-making
an enhanced sense of self-trust by tapping into your own inner guidance
greater awareness of and alignment with your internal compass

What past participants have to say
“That was amaaaazing. I can now appreciate the analytical/thinking parts of me, so they don’t overwhelm me anymore. I came into this workshop feeling run down and stuck even though I can see so many paths forward. I was almost sick of thinking about things and not making any headway. I had a significant change since the workshop; there’s a confidence or inner peace within me now that comes with knowing that when I’m flooded and overwhelmed, I know a reliable way to understand what’s going on inside and that I can get unstuck from the polarity. I can’t thank you enough.”
“I sat down after the workshop and let all parts of me express fully for the very first time about this transition. It felt so good to see it all laid out like that. More importantly, I suddenly realized what was really in my way and felt so clear on how to move forward. I love this process. I want to do it again with my daughter. I think she’ll benefit from this too!”
“I used to call these patterns ‘saboteurs,’ and I hated them. The therapist I was working with helped me trace these patterns back to childhood. Once we identified the root cause, she encouraged me to move past them. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t do it. I felt so ashamed. Thank you for your compassion and teaching me the inner laws. Now, I know I wasn’t actually sabotaging myself at all, and I know how reasonable it is that parts of me are concerned when I take risks, and they’re just trying to protect me. I appreciate these parts now, and I feel they have softened their reactions lately. I can think so much clearer.”
“Holy moly, our team loved this workshop. The tools were unexpected but so powerful. This is so timely because our past success meant we’re being asked to step up in a way none of us has ever done before. The practices you taught us redefined courage for us. We use a language to talk about what’s coming up for us and meet challenges together. Thank you!”
“It’s so hard to be a leader. It’s clear to me you know what I’m going through on a deep deep level. I learned more about myself in just a few hours than years of leadership coaching and therapy. I’m so glad I can keep doing this whenever I feel that imposter feeling. Anyway, I just want you to know how profound this was for me. Thank you!”
“This is not the way I was expecting this to work. But I am making good decisions and taking actions without feeling like I need external validation every step of the way. The biggest takeaway for me was learning the practice of slowing down and parsing all the parts of me that have strong emotions and flooded with thoughts. This is huge for me not just professionally, but I am so much less indecisive in other aspect of my personal life too. Thank you!”
“I was going to hire 2 or 3 different people to help me figure out how to keep doing meaningful work and prioritize my needs at the same time. These practices helped me see all these different voices that made me feel so conflicted and lost. I was overwhelmed by them so I was secretly hoping someone would just tell me what to do. Once all my parts aren’t polarized any more, I could see clearly a path forward that I truly want to take. It suddenly seems so obvious. I’m crying as I’m telling you this because I’m still getting used to the fear not being there all the time. It feels like a miracle.”
It’s time to practice abiding confidence.
